A new year . . . to read more books.

Big news: Starting January 7, 2014, New Leaves Are Green (look up author as Elizabeth Slavick) will be available to order from any bookstore and online from amazon.com and barnes&noble.com.

New Leaves Are Green continues the story of Jacob Morgan, with the return of his former girlfriend Tammy, who is suffering from post-abortion stress and depression.

Can't wait a few more days? Go now and get it at:

If you missed the first book, Three Dead Leaves (look up author as Elizabeth Slavick Schatz), you can get it through bookstores, on amazon.com, barnes&noble.com or from Tate Publishing at:

Three Dead Leaves is the story of Jacob Morgan, a young man who rejects his faith and family values and what it takes to bring him back.

Of course, if you want a signed copy of either, contact me and we'll make arrangements as I have copies on hand.

Just finished reading:

*Milkweed A Novel by Jerry Spinelli, the story of an orphan's survival in WW II  Warsaw and the invasion of the Nazis

Am reading now:

*The Rifle by Gary Paulsen, the life's journey of a rifle made in colonial America.
*The River by Gary Paulsen, continues the story of Brian Robeson, as he returns to the wilderness to help a psychiatrist learn the survival mind.
