Ready to send . . .

The manuscript for the second book in my series is ready to send to the publisher. Depending when they can start production will determine when it will be available from them, me, and bookstore. I'll keep you posted.

Any idea what the title might be? :)

Falling Leaves

Jacob picked three dead leaves from a low-hanging branch. He glances at Margo and quietly said, "I guess so." I've got to remember, the old Jacob is gone, the past is over, dead, like these leaves. He let the leaves flutter to the ground. (excerpt from p. 255 of Three Dead Leaves)

The deep and brilliant colors of autumn leaves are beautiful. God sure is good at coming up with an amazing array of colors for us to enjoy. And like Jacob, we can think of the dying leaves as an end to the yucky things in our lives that hold us back and new life comes in the spring.

September 29 I attended the Florence, OR, Publishers and Authors Book Festival. Thanks to everyone who stopped at my table and to those who purchased a book. I hope you enjoy it.

Summer Reading

Just because you don't have to read for school, summer is a great time to read all sorts of books. Read up on the place you're going to for vacation, learn something new, try a new author, start a new series. The important thing is read, read, read. The world opens up to you when you read. Let your imagination take you to new and faraway places with the books you read.

Best Use for a Porch Swing:

READING a great book! Find a classic, something fun, informative, makes you think, or sit with your child and look at a picture book.
